“The God We Forgot — Who Never Forgot Us”

There’s a quiet truth many people carry but rarely say out loud: We forget about God far more often than we want to admit.

Life gets loud. Bills pile up. Work demands everything. Our independence becomes our identity. Our strength becomes our security. And slowly, without meaning to, we drift.

Not because we hate God. Not because we rejected Him. But because we got busy, distracted, self‑reliant — and somewhere along the way, we forgot the One who made us in His image.

Yet here is the miracle: Just because we forget God does not mean He has forgotten us.

1. The Illusion of Self‑Sufficiency

Money can make us feel like we don’t need God. Success can make us feel like we built our own lives. Strength can make us feel like we can carry everything on our own shoulders.

But deep down, we know the truth: None of those things can fill the soul.   None of them can heal the heart. None of them can answer the questions we whisper in the dark.

Secularism and materialism promise freedom, but they deliver emptiness. They give us everything except the one thing we were created for — relationship with God.

2. The Wound of the Modern Church

Some people stay away from church not because they don’t believe in God, but because they’ve been hurt by people who claimed to represent Him.

Fair enough. Jesus Himself confronted religious hypocrisy more than anyone.

But that doesn’t mean the Church is dead. It doesn’t mean every church is corrupt. It doesn’t mean there isn’t a faithful, Christ‑centered community out there.

There are still churches that love Jesus, preach the gospel, welcome the broken, and live out the Great Commission.   You just need to find one — and when you do, it will feel like coming home.

3. The God Who Still Believes in You

Here is the heart of the gospel:

Even when we forget God, He never forgets us.

Even when we only talk to Him in emergencies, even when we drift, even when we doubt, even when we run — His grace keeps pursuing us.

God still believes in you. Not because you earned it. Not because you deserve it. But because His love is unconditional, unchanging, and unstoppable.

Jesus Christ — the Lord, the Savior, the Risen One — is the proof. He knocks at the door of our hearts, not with anger, but with hope. Not with judgment, but with invitation.

All He asks is that we open the door.

4. A Simple Truth for a Complicated World

At the end of the day, the message is simple:

God loves you. God has not forgotten you. God is waiting for you.

No matter how far you’ve wandered, no matter how long it’s been, no matter what you’ve done — His grace is still enough.

All He wants is your “yes.” Your step of faith. Your willingness to let Him in.

And when you do, you will discover what your soul has been missing all along.

God bless you.
